Privacy

The organization that runs your Workbook decides how your learning data in it is used. Gurujada processes that data for the organization, and looks after your account itself: your sign-in and your profile.

• Your account: your email address and name, and a photo and bio if you add them.
• Your learning: answers and attempts, notes, messages, board work, recordings you make, understanding checks and chats with a Workbook's assistant.
• What your teachers record about it: feedback, corrections and the signals that tell a teacher someone may need a look.
• Security records: sign-in sessions and the network address a request came from, used to keep accounts safe and to limit abuse.

• To run the lessons, practice and feedback your organization offers you.
• To let your teachers follow your progress and correct it while it happens.
• To send the emails you need: sign-in links, messages and notifications.
• To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your teachers in a Workbook see your work, your progress, your understanding checks and your chats with its assistant. Classmates see only what you post in shared places, such as a class discussion. Your private notes stay private.

Some features use AI models from these providers:

• DeepSeek: a Workbook's assistant, understanding checks, and drafts and summaries that help teachers and harder reasoning.
• OpenAI: harder reasoning, reading photos and handwriting, transcribing recordings and generated images.

We send the minimum needed to answer. AI is always labelled, and it proposes while people decide.

Your learning history is kept until it is deleted; nothing deletes it automatically. It is deleted when you ask for erasure, or when an organization deletes the learner data of a Workbook it has archived. Security records (the audit log, records of AI use and of privacy requests) are kept; after erasure the audit log no longer names you.

Technical data expires on its own:

• sign-in links after 15 minutes, email-change links after 7 days, and a remembered sign-in on a browser after 14 days;
• guest practice answers after 24 hours;
• boards and recordings you discard after 30 days;
• a data download 48 hours after it is ready, or 1 hour after you first download it.

You can download your data, or ask for it to be erased, from Account › Privacy.

• Download: a file with your profile, progress, answers, feedback you received, notes, assistant chats, checks and the messages you wrote. At most 3 downloads in 7 days.
• Erasure: each organization that holds your data approves your request or holds it, with a reason you can see. Your own records are then deleted. Posts in shared places stay, shown as from "Former member". Your account closes when every organization has finished.
